COTAF

Ongoing

What is the project?

COTAF (Connected Towns for a Sustainable Future) is an EU-funded project that promotes social cohesion and democratic participation through dialogue based on personal experience and inclusive measures.

In response to rising social polarization, discrimination, and exclusion, COTAF offers a constructive solution based on the “Living Library” concept—public events where individuals share their personal stories to dismantle stereotypes and foster empathy and mutual understanding.

The program involves seven European cities: Bologna, Donostia/San Sebastián, Lesbos, Istria, Budapest, Prague, and Liepāja. These cities organize Living Libraries and online trainer-led programs centered around three key themes:

  • Gender Equality

  • Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees

  • European Values and Active Citizenship
